Specialty Courses are a great to excel in the many branches of scuba diving. Some scuba divers may only have an interest in shipwrecks. Others may enjoy night diving! Oahu Diving has many PADI Specialty Courses available. Here are a list of what Specialty Courses we generally teach. Other Specialty Courses we can teach too however are not listed such as Underwater Model (believe it or not this is popular with the ladies), Hawaii Diver, and a few Tech Specialty courses.
Night Scuba Diver Course
To say night diving in Hawaii is exciting is an understatement. Oahu Diving's Night Scuba Diver Specialty Course is both exhilarating and very rewarding. As the sun sets over the Pacific here in Hawaii the underwater world changes from a thriving playful reef to a sleepy reef with hidden dangers and night time marine life taking over. Learning Materials You Need
Night Diving – there’s really nothing like it. With the right training and a little bit of planning, night dives can be as easy as diving during the day. Night Diver crewpak (manual and video on DVD) will help you prepare for your first night dives in Hawaii with Oahu Diving. Topics covered include: tips for navigating at night, night diving etiquette, establishing an entry and exit point, and how to maintain your underwater light system.

Nitrox Certification- Scuba Diving with Enriched Air
This course is a must for any diver who "sucks" down standard compressed air faster than your average scuba diver in Hawaii and would like the ability to extend bottom times safely. The Nitrox Certification Course or Enriched Air Scuba Diving designed to take the scuba diver to a higher level of diving with adding a touch of technical diving to the mix. Honolulu scuba diving. The Enriched Air Diver course is is a popular specialty scuba diving course, and it’s easy to see why. Scuba diving with Enriched Air Nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time. This means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives. You can typically stay down longer and get back the water sooner. No wonder many divers choose this as their very first specialty.

Peak Performance Buoyancy
With our Hawaii Peak Performance Buoyancy course Oahu wreck Diving will take on a whole new meaning. You thought your buoyancy skills from your Open Water Courses were good. What is neutral buoyancy you may ask? Scuba divers especially here in Hawaii like to be neutrally buoyant so they neither sink nor float allowing us to come very close to the rock and coral without touching.
Scuba divers who’ve mastered levels in buoyancy stand apart. You’ve seen them underwater, the divemaster on your last trip to Mexico, the fish feeder at your local aquarium. They glide effortlessly hardly moving use less air and ascend, descend or hover, almost as if by thought. Interacting gently with aquatic life is another reason to have excellent buoyancy. The Peak Performance Buoyancy course refines the basic skills you learned as a Open Water Diver and elevates them to the next level. The fun part of this course is giving your dive skills a polish you may not have thought possible.

This 2 day Hawaii shipwreck scuba diving course is a must for any shipwreck enthusiast. Most shipwrecks in Hawaii like the yo-257 and the Mahi are sunk on purpose. Other wrecks such as the Corsair where actually , well wrecked ! It doesn't matter, whether sunk on purpose as an artificial reef or the result of an accident, shipwrecks and plane wrecks open fascinating windows to the past allowing the scuba diver to feel as if he or she is going back into time. Most wrecks ask for scuba divers to explore, they're exciting areas to discover and most likely have the most aquatic life. This Wreck Diving Course will teach you the responsible way to scuba dive on shipwrecks and plane wrecks.
