SCUBA dive with Oahudiving.Com - Oahu's only island-wide dive charter company.

Aloha, thank you for taking the time to visit Oahudiving.Com, Oahu Hawaii's best little scuba diving company. Oahudiving.Com is a dive charter/dive training company that is located in Waikiki on the island of Oahu (near Honolulu) in the U.S. state of Hawaii. We specialize in scuba diving adventures such as visiting Oahu shipwrecks,  first time divers or beginner divers, shipwreck scuba diving, teaching scuba courses as outlined by the PADI NAUI and SSI Organizations, drift scuba dives cave diving and lava tube diving.

Oahudiving.Com was started back in 2002 after working for a few dive shops/SCUBA charter companies.

What we noticed was, other dive companies treated their guests coming to scuba dive in Hawaii like strangers, putting as many people on the boat as possible; very similar to what is said in the dive business as "cattle herding." With their high advertising budget and lack of customer service, boats were packed and unsafe. Dive ratios for the top advertising dive companies are approximately six divers for every one divemaster for Honolulu scuba diving. Yikes! In-water rescues were very common and quit frankly I was tired of rescuing customers from inexperienced divemasters/instructors from other companies.

For obvious reasons, Oahu needed a dive company that is SAFE, people friendly and takes you where you want to go. We also promise to make you feel comfortable and we won't shove tip jars in your face before or after the dives.

The unfortunate truth is, most dive companies take anyone on any dive, regardless of their level of skill, age and health, endangering not only the customer in question but also all the other guests that are on the same dive. Just recently we noticed dive operators using one tank for 2 dives by reducing the customer's bottom times. Other "dive charter companies" that you will find on Google actually DON'T HAVE A COMPANY ! That is right. They will charge a very low price to get as many people as possible, only to give you an inadequate tour with a non-certified SCUBA instructor or instructors with no experience. These companies are all over the search engines so don't be fooled. These Internet based scuba "companies" are spreading like wild fires on the net and are mostly run by inexperienced fly-by-night people; some even own 2 sites or more just to fool you into booking with them. So if you check around just ask who you are speaking with, you might be surprised. "Yes we may lose out on business but safety is our #1 goal."

We keep the ratios 3 to 1. That is 3 customers to one scuba dive instructor. Bigger groups we increase the scuba instructor accordingly. We pride ourselves on having a perfect safety record, we don't push limits- just fun. Can other dive charter companies say that same? Before you book a dive, ask about the company's safety record. Better yet, do an Internet search, you may be surprised on what you find.

"Our Instructors have over 5000 dives ! ALL INCIDENT FREE !"

We take our teaching/guiding very serious and only use seasoned experienced SCUBA diving instructors to meet this criteria. We have no newly certified instructors with 100 dives or less that just moved to Hawaii last month as with our competitors have. Our staff is 100% legal, U.S. residents who are properly insured with Vicencia & Buckley Insurance Services. Each of us are firm advocates of D.A.N. Diver's Insurance and are properly covered. Not to mention CPR and general first aid.  As a matter of fact our shipwreck guru Jeff is a Red Cross instructor teaching on average 4-8 classes per month.

(Way to go Jeff!)

On average, we do approximate 60-100 dives a month which allows us to stay constantly updated on changing conditions, new sites and proficiency of scuba diving. We day all points of Oahu considering weather conditions so we understand where the optimal dive conditions will be at. All dives will have a SCUBA Instructor to help you out. We are all PADI/NAUI/SSI SCUBA Diving Instructors. Therefore we are all able to teach, underwater guide work and give scuba diving ratings. (Divemasters can only supervise scuba instructors and perform underwater tour guide service.)

With many dive operators to choose from we would be honored to have the opportunity to show you some of Oahu's best scuba diving. If you haven't scuba dived in a while, don't let this keep you from diving here on Oahu. Our instructors will review and show you how to properly work the gear and handle yourself below. Not to mention we always enjoy sharing dive tips with you.  Are you a first time diver, or would you like to introduce a friend or family member to scuba diving? We have a great introductory dive at the reefs certified divers dive on ! We do not take first time divers to "kiddie" reefs. These are cool reefs with depths of 20 to 40 feet; Check this page out for our first time diver program ! Lots of cool sea life hang out at theses reefs.

"We are not working to gain experience , we teach the experience."
